Close to Hood River/hatchery beach / Drano Lake -fishing /wind and kite surfing, hiking, Carson hot mineral baths, para gliding, vineyards, good restaurants, biking, etc.

Summary: Within easy driving distance of Hood River or Portland, this was a quiet getaway for a weekend to relax and refocus the mind. The house is very well-appointed, with a coffee maker that was welcome in the chilly mornings and the creek going by for the warmer afternoons (living room gets warm, so outside walk after lunch is highly recommended). I think I heard the rumble of an airplane going by, but other than that, there were only nature sounds!
